The Embedded System Design space is an exciting area of electronic hardware and software design. It combines the best of both worlds and sets in motion many of today’s most common uses. If you think about, almost everything you use in life has the ability to contain an embedded system of some sort. From house appliances, security systems and hand-held devices, to larger industrial embedded solutions containing a wide variety of embedded sensors. In the embedded software realm, every popular language can easily be adapted, including C, Python and Java. On the hardware side, the sky is the limit, ranging from simple 8-bit micro-controller solutions to large, embedded Linux running on a System On Chip solution.
Here at MDG Technologies, we’ve been in the electronic hardware/software and embedded system design space for decades. Working in both the consulting arena and in the corporate environment, our experience spans across the Industrial Design Space and the highly regulated area’s of Aerospace, Telecommunications and Medical. As time marches on and priorities change, the focus is now on all things STEM. Educational information focused on and for the younger generation and those interested in learning more will take priority. You may even see flying experiments on our hobby site!
The purpose of our site is two fold. First, we hope to find ways to introduce what we have learned, and are continuing to learn in the Embedded Systems Design Space and Second, help customers however we can in this area.
